Why Bethesda Was Never That Great Loved for their Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, Bethesda were one of the most respected game developers only a few years ago. Then Fallout 76 happened. People want the old Bethesda game studios back, but it turns out the old Bethesda also had it's problems. Questionable lawsuits, the inception of microtransactions, un-patched bugs, horse armour, and Todd Howard's lies have all been prevalent in the history of the Bethesda, and by extension, Zenimax Media. Fallout 76 and the creation club were just the tipping point. So let's have a look at why Bethesda was never that great, and the downfall of Bethesda.
