Campaigning in the city of Alliance in Ohio, Biden described Trump’s behaviour during Tuesday’s first presidential debate as a “national embarrassment.”
At the debate, Trump would not commit to accepting the election result, reasserting unfounded complaints that an increase in mail-in ballots due to the coronavirus pandemic would lead to widespread voting fraud, and refused to condemn white supremacy.
Furthermore, Trump told the Proud Boys to “stand down and stand ready” based on the outcome of the November 3 elections.
The Democratic nominee hoped that in the next presidential debate, which will take place on October 15, there would be “a chance to answer the questions.”
