In this video you see a sweet rescued chicken washing and cleaning herself in a mud bath. So cute and also a bit funny to see how a chicken cleans herself!
The chicken in the video, a very old ex lay hen, was rescued just before slaughter and adopted by my mother shortly after that. My mom rescues animals as well and takes care of a lot of different pets.
With her are living dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, guinea pigs, bunnies, mice, fish, pigeons, budgies and wild animals that come to visit. They all have their own story and were rescued. Now they are living happy and healthy lives together. It's beautiful to see!
I visit them often to help taking care of them, play with them or take videos of them. Just as today. 🙂

At the end of the video you see her shaking off all the mud.
She was really tired after that and slept for a long time, while she was sun bathing.
