BEFORE & AFTER: How to Install a Toilet Yourself - Thrift Diving

Our toilet was too small and short and I wanted to install a toilet that was higher and at a more comfortable height. Removing and installing a toilet is an easy DIY project that a homeowner can do in 1-2 hours (or less) by themselves, depending on the weight of the toilet. American Standard Toilet:
Bucket with a cup for removing excess water
Gloves
Towels
Screwdriver
Waxless toilet seal -
Wax toilet seal (optional) -
Ratchet and socket wrench (optional)
Hack saw (optional, for removing rusted bolts or cutting down long bolts)
