In 1938 Dr. Chi pu tie led an expedition into the caves of Baian-Kara-Ula in China, caves that held traces of an ancient culture which once occupied them. Buried under a thick covering of dust, were 716 strange stone disks. Disks that mysteriously resembled phonograph records. These ancient artifacts became known as the Dropa stones, they are 30 cm in diameter and have a circle cut into their centers, around the disks are two grooves and they have been dated to be around 12,000 years old. The two grooves are said to be composed of tiny hieroglyphics that tell a strange story. Chinese researcher Tsun Um Nui believed that he translated the hieroglyphics and according to him they describe a spaceship that crashed into the mountains, piloted by people who called themselves the Dropa. However the Dropa people could not fix there craft and therefore had to adapt to Earth. His research claims that the Dropa people were hunted down and killed by the local Han tribesmen for a period.
However Tsunami Um Nui was very quickly ridiculed for his research by most of the science community and eventually he went on a self imposed exile in japan. The mysterious disks have been analysed by many scientists including Russian researchers that performed an experiment where the discs were supposedly placed on a special turntable whereby they were shown to ‘vibrate’ or ‘hum’ in an unusual rhythm as though an electric charge is passing through them. But not many experiments have been made public and currently, there is no clear information of the whereabouts of the mysterious Dropa stones.
