Sisterly singers Vika and Linda Bull recently stopped by Music Feeds Studio with iconic singer-songwriter Paul Kelly for an acoustic performance of the ballad Down On The Jetty, a song which features on the forthcoming Kelly-led collaborative album The Merri Soul Sessions. With Kelly playing both harmonica and guitar, the Bull sisters had space to harmonise their vocals and tell a moving tale of love through the gorgeous landscape imagery in the song’s lyrics. “Down on the jetty / I kept on standing / Watching the moon rise / Over the bay,” is just one choice line.
Paul Kelly and the Bull sisters will tour the country with their fellow collaborators in January and February, behind the release of The Merri Soul Sessions album on 12th December. They will also appear at West Coast Blues N Roots Festival.
