WestJet cutting flights, laying off more staff WestJet is making changes to operations as COVID-19 continues to take a toll.

The airline says it is indefinitely halting routes to Fredericton, Moncton, N.B., Sydney, N.S., and Charlottetown.

It's paring down service to Halifax and St. John's, N.L., while operations between Toronto and Quebec City are being suspended.
