Building a Rustic Wooden Star

This farmhouse decor is perfect for the Fourth of July although I'll be keeping mine up all year. I really like the inner star as it adds a little dimension to it. I wanted to make a more simple build for beginner wood workers. You can easily customize yours by using different wood or making different sizes.

Actual size: 15 inches wide, 14 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches wide

Materials:
Wood - Type and size are up to you. I used an old piece of fir 4 inches wide, 2 1/4 inches thick and 4 ft long
