Turnbull turns on Cormann, Rudd in highly anticipated memoir Malcolm Turnbull has saved his most scathing criticisms for his former close colleagues and Labor's Kevin Rudd in his upcoming tell-all memoir, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

According to excerpts released to the media on Thursday, Mr Turnbull's described Immigration Minister Peter Dutton as "narcissistic" and "delusional" but said Mathias Cormann's "treachery was the worst and the most hurtful.

Mr Cormann was one of Mr Turnbull closest allies in government, however the relationship between the pair soured after the finance minister threw his support behind Peter Dutton during the height of the Liberal leadership tension during in 2018.

In Mr Turnbull's memoir 'A Bigger Picture', which is due to be released on Monday, the former prime minister said Mr Cormann regarded Scott Morrison as "emotional, narcissistic and untrustworthy."

Mr Clennell said the excerpts so far show Mr Turnbull has "really done a number" on Mathias Cormann.

"I've contacted Mr Cormann and he's denied to comment, privately I understand he's saying some of the claims in here are untrue," he said.

"What Malcolm Turnbull has done, in effect he is attempting to split Mathias Cormann and Scott Morrison as they are currently in their jobs."

"Turnbull will just say he is writing the truth."

In the memoir Mr Turnbull also wrote Kevin Rudd called him a “little f..king rat” after the Coalition refused to back the former Labor leader's push to become secretary general of the United Nations.
