MPs caution COVID-19 temporary measures bill could impact smaller landlords, property investors

11 Members of Parliament have stood in support of the bill on COVID-19 temporary measures, but some cautioned the impact it has on some landlords. They said those with smaller properties may be facing cash-flow difficulties of their own. Others stressed that this could also affect the return for some property investors. MPs added that rental deferments could eventually affect tenants. For instance, some tenants may be unable to pay rent even after six months of deferment.
