About this snake: The Rat Snake is large, terrestrial and arboreal snake found widely across Nepal. It is found in many habitats., from lowland and montane forests, both wet and dry, to paddy fields and plantations and even in gardens and houses. It is non-venomous but can deliver bloody bites. It is diurnal predator of vertebrates ranging from rodents to birds, frogs and lizards.
