These city buses can be loaded with Staples and ration items to deliver to people. Like a running retail shops.
People can avail facilities from this bus in three broad ways
1. Package system
In this system, package are made consisting of all items identified by govt. as basic and necessary, in such quantity that it offers full diet for five people. These packages are of different size on basis of consumption in terms of days
Economy - lasting for 5 days
Medium- 2-3 weeks
Large - a month
2. Written list
If people prefer taking loose items from items identified by govt. as basic and necessary. They can give a written list of maximum 3 items. Minimum quantity and cost to be purchased is fixed.
3. Online list
To reduce burden through written list system, online list can also be paced through an app. Packages cannot be purchased online. A separate bus will deliver online orders. Minimum quantity and cost is fixed
. As buses will pass a location multiple times daily, arrival and departure time is fixed at each stop and real time tracking of bus is possible, chance of large gathering become less and social distancing can be maintaine
• At a time only 10 people (circles) will come, and collect items, and 5 la carte lists (Loose items) will be collected, ( for those 5 people separate circles will be spared at the time of collection of their items).
• In this way if a bus can serve 10 people and 5 lists at one arrival, 4 ferries on same stop.
• A single bus will serve at least 50 people in a day (output will be much higher when we calculate for all BRTS buses operating). If followed daily this will ensure that after 10 days only people with dire need will come at bus stops.
While all other sources of delivering food items deployed and available till now will also be their, this will be a diversification, or an another way to get food item at nearest possible location, on continuous and reliable way.
