ASEAN+3 leaders agree to set up new COVID-19 response fund

ASEAN has joined forces with China, Japan and South Korea to fight COVID-19. Leaders came together in a video conference hosted by Vietnam on April 14, with China promising to send 100 million masks and other urgently needed supplies to the region. The ASEAN COVID-19 Response Fund could be spent on medical equipment and be used for research and development efforts.
